An uncontrolled fire has the potential to become life-threatening, in order to prevent unnecessary fatalities the proper and safe execution of fundamental skills covered in our Basic Fire Fighting Training Course is required. The course has been constructed to ensure that our students gain the appropriate knowledge and confidence required to extinguish small to medium fires using the correct type of fire fighting equipment available to them. Our Basic Fire Fighting Training Course is accredited by the Department of Labour, as well as the Health and Welfare Sector Education and Training Authority (HWSETA).

We understand the need for businesses to comply with the Occupational Health and Safety (OHS) Act and Municipal bylaws; which state that employers are required to train their employees in fire fighting. These employees will form part of a company’s emergency evacuation team and play a crucial role in fighting fires in an emergency evacuation scenario. Our course also empowers companies to be able to implement appropriate fire control measures in the workplace. Our Basic Fire Fighting Training Course is one day in duration and features a combination of theoretical and practical components. Students will leave with an understanding of the importance of implementing a fire prevention program, as well as the ability to practically extinguish a fire.
